Sabah is Malaysia’s second largest state and popularly known as “Land Below the Wind”. The nickname is given due to its strategic location just below the tropical typhoon belt. It is home to one of Southeast Asia’s highest peak, Mount Kinabalu towering at 4,095 metres above sea level and Malaysia’s first World Heritage Site.
Borneo is the third largest island on the planet and is shared between three nations. Occupying the northern part of the island is Malaysia's Sabah, Sarawak and Labuan, along with, Brunei Darussalam while the rest is covered by Indonesia's Kalimantan.
