About 3-hour drive from city centre or 45 minutes away from Kinabalu Park, it is situated in the lowlands and is a part of Malaysia’s First UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its main attraction is the natural hot spring sulphuric water that pours into an open-air Japanese-style bath, known for its skin-curative property and is perfect to soothe tired and aching muscles after the long climb up Mount Kinabalu. The nature reserve offer botanical attractions such as orchids, rare butterflies and the world’s largest bloom, the Rafflesia. Explore the numerous nature trails that lead to a magnificent waterfall and a 43-metre breath-taking canopy walk.

Poring Hot Spring & Nature Reserve is situated approximately 136 km from Kota Kinabalu (3hours drive).

Shuttle services and airport transfers are available upon request and prior reservations must be made at the time of booking. These services are chargeable and cater to group and individual bookings.

Rainforest Restaurant

Experiences

Poring is no doubt famous for its natural hot spring bath, but your adventure does not end there. Explore the beauty of the surrounding forest on the 43-metre treetop Canopy Walk. Nearby is the Butterfly Garden & Caterpillar House, home to a vast collection of tropical butterflies. Just a kilometre walk away is 10-metres height Kipungit Waterfall, and trek 3.4 kilometres further to the highest waterfall in Sabah (approximately 120-metres height), the Langanan Waterfall. Along the way to Langanan Waterfall is the Bat Cave, a perfect stop to learn more about the night creatures. And of course don’t forget to catch the rare sightings of the largest flower in the world, Rafflesia.
